AAWE Live Play-Reading Group

The AAWE Play Reading group will be meeting to read out loud "Mr. Rogers vs. AI" by William Missouri Downs. Acccording to the playwright, "It is a non-musical satirical comedy with a few songs that dissects outrage culture, algorithmic thinking, and the collapse of attention in the digital age."

Those who sign up will receive a PDF of the script ahead of the reading, and roles will be chosen at the beginning of the meeting.

Hike in St Germain en Laye (12 Sep 2026)

FAWCO and AAWE on the Camino are teaming up to go on a hike thanks to the Clubs in Motion FAWCO initiative. The Clubs in Motion initiative aims to encourage members to stay physically fit while exercising with friends!
So, let’s get moving and meet for a hike in St Germain en Laye!

Suggested Donation: We invite participants to make a suggested donation of 10€, which will go toward supporting the FAWCO Target Project: Power Her Path: Empowering Trafficking Survivors & Vulnerable Migrants to Thrive (in Vietnam).

The hike starts and ends at the RER A station. We will pass through the royal gardens and forest and enjoy scenic views of Paris from André Le Nôtre’s grand terrace. The hike is flat to gently rolling, paved and forest paths, suitable for most fitness levels. Route information can be found here.
Bring a picnic lunch, we will stop to take a break!

The more the merrier - non-AAWE guests are welcome to join us, but please register them so we can have an accurate count of participants.

In case of bad weather (heat or rain), we have a backup date planned for Saturday, September 26th, 11am.

Distance: 7 km/4.5 mile loop

This workshop will look at how we can be more accepting of ourselves, especially when we make mistakes and are not at our best. How can we love ourselves and be supportive when we mess up or struggle through hard times? What can we learn from our relationships and from each other?

Let's share smiles. This is a "feel-good" moment to share how we can be good to ourselves and be strong.

Go through the main gates, turn right, and ring the doorbell. There will be a receptionist. Then go down the stairs and follow signs to the “Catacombs Room.”

Join AAWE for a specialist-led session on relieving body pain and improving posture through natural alignment. John Raven, from Spinefulness, has conducted successful demonstrations at various health events, including INSPIRELLE's "Unstoppable You Coaching Event." This is a wonderful opportunity for Members who would like to benefit from practical solutions to everyday posture challenges.

Spinefulness, also known as Aplomb in France, is a unique practice rooted in the work of pioneering French women. It is based on decades of detailed, rigorous observation of pain-free cultures and young children who still maintain their natural alignment and balance with gravity in everyday life.

An individual assessment will show you exactly where the problem lies and what to do. This empowering, restorative class is for all ages and body types. You’ll leave feeling better than when you arrived—and with tools you can use anytime, even while sitting at your desk.

FAWCO target project, Power Her Path, is organizing an evening of spontaneous music making

led by Kay Bourgine

Join us for a fun and uplifting experience with Circle Songs Paris' spontaneous music-making workshop, to raise money for Power Her Path, which helps survivors of trafficking in Vietnam build safe, independent futures.

Circle Songs is a form of collaborative vocal improvisation, where participants create spontaneous layered music in a welcoming and safe space, using only their voices and bodies. Develop your skills in listening—both to yourself and to others—while having fun exploring the infinite possibilities of the human voice through:

- Playful vocal improvisation and spontaneous collective singing
- Musical games (breath, rhythm, melody, movement, and body-voice awareness)
- Expressing yourself freely, connecting through movement and sound
- Experiencing a joyful, relaxed atmosphere where all voices are welcome—no prior singing experience needed!

Kay Bourgine facilitates collaborative vocal improvisation sessions with Circle Songs Paris and has led workshops across Europe and the US. With a foundation in jazz and improvisational music, she has trained with Bobby McFerrin, Rhiannon, and renowned improv guides, developing a unique style of facilitation to help participants deepen their connection to their authentic voice. As a singer-songwriter, actor, voice coach, facilitator of public speaking, storytelling and collaborative vocal improvisation groups, and a Feldenkrais practitioner, she blends somatic awareness with vocal expression. Join us for a relaxing evening of watercolor painting! This is a beginner-friendly introduction to watercolor techniques. No experience needed, just an openness to experiment and enjoy the process. The workshop will be presented in French.

Spaces are limited, and priority to members; spouses and friends welcome. Wine is generously provided by our host, Claire, but feel free to bring a snack to share!

About your facilitator, Pascaline Cordelette

After an earlier career as a chemist, Pascaline turned to her passion for painting and creative accompaniment, and is now a certified art therapist. She leads creative art workshops for adults, seniors, and parent-child duos, in associations, schools, senior residences, and private events. Blending science, watercolor, and art therapy, she creates workshops inspired by nature and color, where everyone feels welcome to experiment in a warm, relaxed atmosphere.
