The French Film Discussion Group with AAWE began in September 2022. The group meets from September to June, in three quarters.
A group for near native French speakers who want to expand their knowledge of French cinéma, while enjoying French films, and improve their speaking skills. You will watch a French film, of all genres, on streaming and meet once a week on Zoom for a lively and engaging discussion in French.
For each film, you will receive a handout with information on the movie and questions to guide our conversation.
The group is online and guided by member Valérie Satterfield, who was born and raised in Paris. In 1981, she moved to the US, lived for 37 years in Boston, Washington D.C and New York, graduated from Brandeis University and taught French to professionals in international organizations, in Washington D.C, and after a few years taught French to high school students in New York independent preparatory schools. She moved back to Paris in 2018.
Zoom details will be emailed to you after registering.
