Join us for a thought-provoking presentation with Dr. Shimon Samuels, Director for International Relations at the Simon Wiesenthal Center, as he shares his reflections on the Holocaust and
its enduring lessons for humanity. Dr. Samuels will delve into the historical significance of the Holocaust, including key moments such as the Wannsee Conference and the bombing of Copernic, while also addressing the devastating impact of more recent genocides, including those of the Armenians, Tutsis, Cambodians, and Kurds.
This event is an opportunity to reflect on the importance of vigilance against hatred and to honor the resilience of those who have faced unimaginable atrocities.
A Q&A session will follow the presentation, providing a chance to engage directly with Dr. Samuels on these critical topics.

About Our Speaker: Dr. Shimon Samuels
Dr. Shimon Samuels is an esteemed historian and human rights advocate, renowned for his tireless work in combating antisemitism and promoting Holocaust education. As the Director for International Relations at the Simon Wiesenthal Center, he has dedicated decades to preserving the memory of the Holocaust while addressing contemporary issues of intolerance and genocide.
Dr. Samuels has worked extensively with UNESCO, spearheading initiatives to combat antisemitism, preserve cultural heritage, and promote educational programs that foster tolerance and remembrance. His outstanding contributions have been recognized with numerous accolades, including France's prestigious Légion d'Honneur, awarded for his commitment to human rights and international cooperation.
In addition, he received the International Lifetime Achievement Award for his Combat Against Antisemitism from the European Jewish Parliament and the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress in 2019. Dr. Samuels’ expertise spans global human rights challenges, including the Armenian genocide and other atrocities, which he examines with profound insight and compassion.
